O-Free: Oppo cuts the cord for its new headphones

[ad_1]

No cable between the two earbuds: the O-Free headphones are truly wireless, like the Apple AirPods. Oppo, however, plays the card of in-ear and black clbady, while the creator of the iPhone put on the format "button" and white.

A new platform Qualcomm

These headphones have a particularity. These are the first of their kind to integrate Qualcomm's new QCC3026 chip. This system-on-chip does not have a barbarian name: it is especially the new audio SoC of the specialist manufacturer of the processors. This chip greatly improves energy consumption; it actually consumes half the size of the previous version of this platform, without sacrificing audio quality. Moreover, the apt-X for the broadcasting of high-resolution audio files in Bluetooth is part of it.

This chip also improves the pairing and the invisible link between the two headphones. The listening is more stable, less prone to the swings of sound of a listener or another. The autonomy of a headset is 4 hours. The carrying case that comes with the two headphones allows three additional recharges, a total of 12 listening.

The O-Free will be provided free of charge with the Lamborghini edition of Find X. A nice gift certainly, but the smartphone still costs 1.699 € … Those who have bought the Find X "any short" will find in the box simple wired earphones. Oppo will sell the O-Free separately, priced at 699 yuan, the equivalent of a hundred euros or so. Expected release in August in China, in gold, blue and red finishes.
