On July 13, Airbus delivered the first Airbus A350 to the Philippine company.
A ceremony was held on July 13 in Toulouse to the delivery of the first Airbus A350 to Philippine Airlines. The Philippine company becomes the 19th operator to operate the Airbus A350. The aircraft that was delivered is the first of six copies ordered by Philippine Airlines.
The aircraft which is registered RP-3501, msn 221, is equipped with the new winglets which allow him to extend his radius of action. The cabin is configured in three clbades for a total of 295 people including 30 in business clbad, 24 in premium economy clbad and 241 in economy clbad.
The Philippine Airlines Airbus A350-900 will be deployed to New York and London. The link between Manila and New York represents a distance of more than 8,000 nautical miles with a return trip of about 17 hours of flight.
