Saint-Denis: Jawad Bendaoud again in custody

Nearly five months after his release by the Paris Criminal Court for the concealment of terrorist criminals, Jawad Bendaoud, 31, was again placed in police custody. Wednesday night, the one who was nicknamed "the landlord of Daech" was arrested in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) for insult and rebellion against the police, reports Europe 1.

Jawad Bendaoud reportedly insulted police while filming the scene with his phone. During the arrest, he allegedly encouraged people in the vicinity to release him. The radio says that Jawad Bendaoud had a few grams of cannabis in his possession

For three weeks, in February, Jawad Bendaoud, who became the laughingstock of a country traumatized after his first statements to the press, appeared before the criminal court from Paris. The small trafficker of the 93 was prosecuted for opening a squat of Saint-Denis to two of the terrorists involved in the Paris attacks of November 2015.

His release shocked several families of victims and some 680 civil parties appealed the judgment, after the main appeal of the prosecution. A new appeal will be held from November 21 to December 21.
