Elon Musk has reached an agreement with an American potter who accused Tesla's media boss of having reproduced his "unicorn unpermitted" on the automaker's products.

Tom Edwards, an artisan Colorado, wrote Friday on its website that this copyright issue had been resolved "satisfactorily for everyone", without specifying the content of the agreement. The whimsical American billionaire has tweeted a screenshot of the same release.

The case began last year when the founder of the electric car manufacturer and space company SpaceX had posted on Twitter a photo of a colorful Tom Edwards mug, illustrated with a sketchy unicorn on a rainbow background

In this drawing, the mythical creature releases a gas in a funnel connected by a pipe to a car. "Electric cars are good for the environment because electricity is the product of magic", is it written on the cup.

"Probably my favorite mug", then commented Elon Musk, offering free advertising to his creator, who had then recorded a slight increase in sales.

But Tom Edwards, initially happy to count the entrepreneur of South African descent among his fans, had then changed his mind when he learned that the image was used in promotional material from Tesla.

Elon Musk "plagiarized the art of my father!", then launched the potter's daughter Lisa Prank on Twitter, before calling out to him: " What do you have to say to justify yourself @elonmusk? "

The man first attributed the work to another artist and downplayed the controversy, saying that Tom Edwards should be happy to have sold more

"There were clearly misunderstandings that led to a climbing, but I'm glad that everything is solved, "commented the potter of 61, claiming to have" always been an admirer of Tesla. "

Customary controversy, Elon Musk had to apologize recently after his violent attack against a speleologist who helped save children trapped in a Thai cave, considered by some to be too much fun.
