The French are rating Macron … and it's just fair

A gradebook that sounds like a warning. While Emmanuel Macron is due to speak Monday at the Congress in Versailles, but the number of bad polls multiplies, an Ifop survey published in The Journal du dimanche shows that the French are only few enthusiastic about his action, a little over a year after his election.

The Ifop survey invites respondents to rate Emmanuel Macron on five themes: the image of France abroad, the modernization of France, security, employment, and control of the economy. 'immigration.

Macron only gets the average on two themes. And the verdict is "fairly average", as indicated in JDD Frédéric Dabi, deputy director general of Ifop. Indeed, the President of the Republic exceeds the average only in the chapters of the modernization of France and the image of France abroad, however never reaching the six out of ten points. Regarding the image of France abroad, the French respondents gave him a rating of 5.74 out of 10. About the modernization of France, yet one of the themes of Emmanuel Macron campaign and while the latter multiplies the reforms, the French give the Head of State only 5.10 out of 10, and only 6% to give him a "very good grade" of 9 or 10.

For the Still, the presidential bulletin is much less flattering. On employment, Emmanuel Macron gets the score of 4.45 out of 10.

"The societal may be revenge." Very attacked right on the migration issue and on security, Emmanuel Macron is sanctioned on these two topics in the study. The French questioned give the 4.9 to the President of the Republic on security, and send him a severe 3.74 on the control of immigration. It is also on this last theme that Macron gets his lowest score among the French close to the Republic Marche (5.76).
