Two years ago, 86 people were killed on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. On July 14, the city paid tribute to all the victims of this attack, during a ceremony attended by the families of the victims, but also the Prime Minister Édouard Philippe .

The reading of the names and ages of the 86 angels was certainly the most poignant moment of this commemoration. The people of Nice were numerous to attend on Mbadena Square. If the tears have of course flowed, there was also a lot of dignity and solemnity within a population still deeply marked by this evening of July 14, 2016. The Marseillaise and the hymn of the city, Nissa la Bella resounded at the beginning of the ceremony.

Michel Boujenah read a text entitled For the Love of Nice . The victims' badociations have reiterated their desire for truth to shed light on what happened that night, while insisting on the duty to remember.

The tribute will continue tonight with a concert by Patrick Fiori, accompanied by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra. And at 22h34 hour of the attack, 86 balloons will be dropped by the families of the victims and the wounded, while 86 beams of light will illuminate the sky of the Promenade des Anglais
