The police officer filmed violating a prisoner in Paris court was placed in custody Thursday early evening.
Two investigations, including one for "violence by a person in charge of public authority", were opened on Thursday, following the broadcast of CCTV footage showing him handcuffing and then hitting an inmate to be tried in immediate appearance for theft. These two investigations were entrusted to the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN), the "police of the police".
