An autopsy was held on Tuesday, without clarifying the circumstances of the death. DNA tests are in progress but "the body is that of Theo", according to a source close to the file. The clothes found on the body were those worn by the teenager and his mobile phone was found near the corpse, it was said. The state of advanced degradation of this body, did not allow an immediate identification of the deceased person.

The national police had issued a notice of search in May for "worrying disappearance of a minor". The night the boy was gone, he returned home around 5.30 am after a night out at a nightclub and then accompanied one of his friends back to his home. He never went back home.
