Is it necessary to call him back? Fortnite is more than a fashionable game in 2018, it is a true cultural phenomenon . As in all games of the genre, some players will stop at nothing to win, not even to cheat. By downloading software supposed to improve their performance, thousands of cheats would have infected their device with an evil malware .

This is Andrew Sampson, CEO of Rainway, a company of streaming games videos which gave the alert through the blog of his company. Its engineers have thus spotted in the logs of their server an uninterrupted series of errors concerning attempts to connect to external advertising platforms. After determining that their responsibility was not engaged, they concluded that these errors came from a downloadable code that would cheat Fortnite .

This would allow the players of generating vinderbucks (the currency of Fortnite) for free, but also to benefit from an aimbot . The temptation must have been too great for the 78,000 players who downloaded this malicious code. Once installed, it quickly set up a certificate of authenticity on the infected device and intercept all communications to inject adware exposing the data of their users.
