The storms will continue on these eight departments, " giving mainly high rainfall intensities, the risk of hail and gusts of wind becoming lower ," says Météo-France. " These thunderstorms may add a blade of water often close to 30 mm and occasionally reaching 50 mm (…) exceeding locally 80 mm ".

The heavy rains caused the temporary cut in both directions from the A64 to Tarbes (Hautes-Pyrénées) from the A63 to Capbreton (Landes), major disturbances in the area of Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), with major traffic jams to Spain, and large floods on the A61 in Carcbadonne (Aude), according to a statement from Vinci-Autoroutes.

Traffic was reestablished or maintained on one lane on all these roads but the traffic jams were not yet resorbed in the late morning and conditions remain delicate due to the heavy rainfall and flooded roads, according to a door – Vinci's speech.

In Haute-Garonne, the RN125 was closed to all traffic in both directions between Luscan and Chaum, as well as the departmental network, impacting access to Spain in Val d'Aran, according to Bison-Futé.

In Ariège, the heavy rains also resulted in the closure of several departmental roads and the flood of rivers. The raw yellow vigilance was decreed as well as in Aveyron.

As a precaution, campsites were evacuated in five Ariège communes. In the Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne, firefighters intervened for many flooded cellars.

Train traffic is also interrupted between Toulouse and Narbonne, due to floods on the SNCF railways in Avignonet-Lauragais, according to France 3 Occitanie, which states that rail traffic is also very disturbed between Toulouse and Tarbes.
