Christophe Urios will not prolong the adventure with the reigning French Champion.
In a statement published on the social networks of the club Tarn, the two parties announced a decision they express as being common.
The end of a great adventure
While the Castres Olympique was this season's successful season with the title of Champion of France, the subject of the extension of contract of his manager Christophe Urios quickly returned to the front of the stage. However, as explained in the club's press release, "The conditions for a contract extension could not be fulfilled within a time frame compatible with the preparation of the club's sporting future. Arrived in 2015 in the Tarn as a coach after being a player, Christophe Urios will not extend the adventure with the CO. In four seasons, he has so far managed to bring a Shield of Brennus to the supporters of Castres. Christophe Urios also declared that his priority was to "fill the last year of (his) contract as best as possible."
The future
We will now have to look for a new manager for President Revol, even though he has a few months ahead of him anyway. As for Urios, whose skills are regularly praised by both his peers and observers, it should not delay to receive good numbers of interesting offers. Announced as being interested in the Stade Rochelais, then as being in negotiations with the RC Toulon, these two clubs have recently changed main coaches. Patrice Collazo has just pbaded from La Rochelle to Toulon, while the maritime club has replaced him by Jono Gibbes who will arrive in November. So, what future for Christophe Urios …?
