First annoyance for the Sky team on this Tour de France. The British team will attack the Pyrenees at seven, after the exclusion of Gianni Moscon. The Italian rider attacked Fortuneo-Samsic's Elie Gesbert at the start of the stage, shortly after the departure of Millau.

800m after the start of the 15th stage, Elie Gesbert received a punch from Gianni Moscon. After viewing the images, the jury of the commissaires decided to exclude the runner of the Sky from the Tour de France.

On the images of the incident, we see Moscon turn around and carry a blow to the face of the Frenchman, who wanted to protect the escape attempt of his leader, Warren Barguil. The incident was described as "particularly serious aggression" by the jury of commissioners.

This is not the first incident in which the Italian is involved. Last year, he uttered racist slurs against Frenchman Kevin Reza. Then Sebastien Reichenbach accused him of having caused his fall during a race in Italy. A case for which he had been finally cleared.
