Two dogs died of heat in a vehicle parked in Puteaux on the evening of Sunday, July 8th. It was a pbaderby who gave the alert by noticing one of the suffocating dogs in the back seat, reports Le Parisien .

Despite the efforts of the police, who succeeded to extract it after breaking the window, the animal did not survive. The second husky was found dead in the trunk. The owners were arrested and placed in police custody.

Summer temperatures sometimes fatal

It has been several days since the Paris basin has been in hot summer weather, often approaching 30 degrees. The Foundation's website 30 Million friends invite animal lovers to remain very vigilant: ten minutes of confinement
would be enough to be fatal for dogs locked in a car in the sun.

To help the animal, it is possible to contact the police or to break the window. In the eyes of the law, letting a pet die of heat is an offense of mistreatment for the owner. Last May, a man was sentenced to one month in prison and a fine of 200 euros.
