Obliged to return to the scene of the burglary to recover their belongings, they fell on the occupant of the house.
Two young women robbed the house of a nonagenarian in Angouleme, but were arrested on their way home because they had forgotten their handbag, reports France Bleu La Rochelle, Sunday, November 4.
The two young women of about twenty years were placed in custody Saturday in Angoulême. At first, they managed to penetrate easily in the house they want to rob through a window left open. They took the money and some other items from a bag. The two thieves, delighted with their decision, fled quickly before realizing that they had forgotten their purse.
Back in the house, they came face to face with the owner of the place, a 90-year-old old lady who lives with her 70-year-old disabled son. The nonagenarian managed to call her granddaughter, a woman in her fifties, who lives in the neighborhood.
The man in his 50s chased the two thieves. One of them sprayed her with a tear gas canister. The police then intervened and the two burglars arrested. In police custody, they acknowledged the facts and returned all their loot. They will be presented to the courts in February.
