After a precedent firmware major last May, Microsoft continues at its own pace with a new version of the software of its Xbox One . The patch can now be downloaded by users.
It incorporates new features such as the creation of Groups to store its games and applications, more search options, better compatibility with Mixer and an improvement in overall quality. But the most interesting addition is the FastStart an option allowing, on some games, to play faster to a title that we just bought in digital format . Thus, the console detects the files necessary to be able to start playing, allowing us to to launch us in the part before the installation is completely finished . The option is still only available for a few titles and for English-language games, but it should expand as you go. The complete detail of the update is available below.
FastStart is available for a selection of games
Announced at E3 2018, FastStart is an innovation from the Xbox platform team that allows you to dive in your games twice as fast and start playing while the download has just started. FastStart identifies the files you need to play and downloads them first, allowing you to enjoy the full game experience while the download continues in the background. To find FastStart-compatible titles in our catalog, click "Download" and the console does the rest. It's as simple as that. What's more, the service is now enabled for a selection of English games in the Xbox Game Pbad catalog and will open to new games and other languages over time. Gather Your Games and Apps
With all the available content available, players have been asking for new options to organize their games and apps library. Today, we are significantly improving the pins, which we now call "Groups". With Groups, you can create content collections composed of everything in My Games and Applications. You can also rename Groups, organize and categorize them, and add them to your home page. Groups appear in My Games and Applications, in the Home and the Guide, so you can access them in the blink of an eye. What's more, Groups are linked to your Xbox Live account, so they will automatically sync between multiple Xbox One consoles. First, we've created a group that should be very familiar to you: your thumbnails pinned!
More Search Options
Finding Content is Even Easier! Just press the Y key from the dashboard to bring up the search box. You can easily launch content, browse Settings or find products in the Store. This feature was already present in many applications, it is now accessible on the dashboard. You do not see enough results? Press Enter or click "More Results" to pop up a page with all search results.
Mixer Joystick Enhancements on Mixer
We made it easy to share the gamepad on the web. First, we've enabled full mouse and keyboard support for PC users in addition to key equivalences.
Next, we've added multi-touch support for touch devices. It becomes possible to use several buttons at the same time. For example, you can control the joystick and press A on your touchscreen at the same time.
Finally, we've added a channel leaderboard that highlights the viewers who have contributed the most to a broadcaster's channel. during a joystick sharing session
Full-screen streaming on Mixer
Mixer streamers can now switch to full screen with their webcam during a broadcast. You can switch your webcam to full screen at any time. In this case, the sound of the game is muted, allowing you to talk to your audience while changing game or tweaking your settings before a game. You can even make full-face camera broadcasts!
For an optimal experience, we recommend the following webcams:
- Microsoft LifeCam Studio
Logitech HD Webcam Pro C922
Logitech Webcam C930e
