Van pointed in Switzerland in February: two million euros found

Two million euros from the robbery of a cash van in Switzerland on 8 February were found near Lyon in a man who was indicted and imprisoned, according to a source close to 'investigation. Some 2.4 million Swiss francs (2.06 million euros) were recovered at the home of the suspect, aged 44, during a police operation in late June, said the source today, confirming information from the Parisian.

The spoils of this awesome robbery, preceded by the kidnapping of the girl from one of the conveyors first estimated at between 20 and 30 million Swiss francs, then revised downwards to between 10 and 15 million (EUR 8.6 to 12.9 million). Unknown to the police, the forty-year-old was indicted for "armed gang robbery" and detained. According to the newspaper, he said in custody to have hidden this money in his cellar "at the request of a third party."

This is the first challenge in this case. The two convoys and the daughter of one of them, 22 years old and abducted, were detained in the days following the robbery before being released.
