An eight-month-old pregnant woman was stabbed at her home in Limay (Yvelines) and a boy who was seriously injured, facts for which the ex-wife of the victim's companion was arrested on Friday morning, police said. The victim, who lost the child she was carrying, was still in a coma in the afternoon, but the boy's days were no longer in danger, a police source said. Around 4 pm Thursday, a woman came to the home of this 31-year-old woman and gave her several stab wounds in her stomach and throat. A two-year-old boy, shaken on this occasion, fell on his head and lost consciousness. A 16-year-old boy, very shocked, was also taken to the hospital for help.

Suspected of being the author of these blows, the ex-wife of the victim's companion was arrested Friday morning at his home in Mantes-la-Ville, in the same department, police said. She told her mother that she was stabbed and was taken into custody. The 38-year-old Sri Lankan woman, as the victim, acted "jealously," according to the police source. She had filed a complaint in January against her ex-husband's new partner, for "mistreating" her children, but these accusations had not been corroborated. The investigations for "attempted homicide" were entrusted to the police station of Mantes-la-Jolie.
