In a later scene, the words “Does Selena Gomez even have a kidney?” are written on the walls of the school near some lockers.
The selenators took to Twitter on Saturday to criticize the show, causing the “RESPECT SELENA GOMEZ” trending trend on the social media platform. Gomez had not commented publicly at press time.
In September 2017, Gomez revealed that she had undergone a kidney transplant to fight her lupus, an autoimmune and inflammatory disease that sometimes causes kidney failure, when she posted an Instagram photo of herself holding Raisa’s hand in their adjacent hospital beds.
