Free games available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers in May were announced Monday and include Chestnut candies and The golf club 2019 starring PGA Tour.
Chestnut candies is A multiplayer board game that allows players to compete in various mini-games, online or through a local multiplayer mode. 2019 Golf Club is an officially licensed 2K Sports golf simulator, with a new career mode allowing the player to participate in various golf tournaments and events.
The two backward compatible Xbox 360 games in this month's lineup are: Earth Defense Force: Armageddon Insect, and Comic Jumper: The adventures of Captain Smiley. The first is the fourth game in the Earth Defense Force series, which is the first to offer an online cooperative mode. The latter is a very meta-adventure game in which a cartoon superhero embarks on different graphic novels to learn how to repair his own series.
Here is the release schedule for the gold games of May 2019:
- Chestnut candies: Available from May 1st to May 31st on Xbox One
- Golf Club 2 with the PGA Tour: Available from May 16 to June 15 on Xbox One
- Earth Defense Force: Armageddon Insect: Available May 1-15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
- Comic Jumper: Available May 16 – 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
Xbox Live Gold subscribers can still take games in the April range, including Tom Clancy Ghost Advanced Warfighter 2. Xbox Live Gold normally costs $ 9.99 per month (or $ 24.99 per quarter and $ 59.99 per year), but new subscribers can get their first month for $ 1.
