PITTSBURGH – A recall of canned chicken fried rice products in Pennsylvania has been announced.
According to the US Department of Agriculture, Choice Canning Company Inc., of Pittston, recalls products because of erroneous and undeclared allergens.
The product contains milk, which is not listed, according to the USDA.
The fried chicken rice products were manufactured on February 13, 2019 and February 19, 2019. The following products are likely to be recalled: [View Labels (PDF only)]
- 22 oz printed polybag "FUSIA Asian Inspirations, chicken fried rice, full pan meal", with packaging dated 13/02/2019, and marked "Best if used by 13/08 / 2020 "on the label.
- 22 oz printed plastic bag "FUSIA Asian Inspirations, chicken fried rice, full pan meal", with a package dated 19/02/2019, and marked "Best in Use" of 19 / 08/2020 on the label.
The recalled products carry the plant number "P-45217" inside the USDA inspection mark. These items have been shipped to retailers in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.
