'Fresh Off The Boat' renewed for season 6 at ABC

The story of Eddie Huang's transition to life is not over: ABC has renewed Boat fees for season 6, TVLine has learned.

Based on Eddie Huang's autobiography of the same name in 2013, the comedy series of the 1990s is centered on the Huang family, who moved from Washington DC to Orlando toVeepRandall Park) to open his own steakhouse. The cast also includes Constance Wu, Hudson Yang, Forrest Wheeler, Ian Chen, Lucille Soong, Chelsey Crisp and Ray Wise.

Fees Boat spent his first four seasons in ABC's sitcom block Tuesday night. He then moved to Fridays last fall as part of a new TGIF block (next to Mute and hosted by Fred Savage Child support). Its April 12 finale attracted 3.1 million viewers and a 0.6 demo, which matches both its previous episode and its season average. He's ranked 11th out of 12 ABC sitcoms this season.
