Frustrated, Tim Cook reveals a disappointing delay on the MacBook Pro

Mac fans who are hoping to get new material this year have received a possible explanation for this delay, and some hope that 2019 will benefit from some updates.

Then Tim Cook identified the impact of the constraints and considered it a short-term solution:

For all of our Mac businesses, we faced processing constraints in March, which resulted in a 5% decrease in revenue compared to the previous year. But we believe that our Mac revenues would have been higher than last year without these constraints, and we do not believe this challenge will have a significant impact on our third quarter results.

It is relatively safe to assume that Apple is talking about The ninth generation of Intel Core processors – Lake Refresh coffee. The ninth generation continues to use Intel's 14nm process, but supports up to eight cores.

Earlier this year, Mac fans were eagerly awaiting new hardware that has not materialized yet.
