Jean added: “As I celebrate my 25th birthday with the Fugees, my first memory is that we swore, right from the door, that we would not just make music, we would be a movement. We would be a voice for those. that are not being heard, and in these difficult times, I am once again grateful that God has brought us together. ”

The first performance will take place in New York at an undisclosed location on September 22, which will then be recorded and broadcast as part of Global Citizen Live, a global broadcast event calling on world leaders to stand up for the planet and end poverty. The group is also partnering with Global Citizen to work on philanthropic initiatives around the tour.

They will then travel to places such as Chicago, Miami, Paris and London before ending the tour in unconfirmed cities in Nigeria and Ghana.

Hill then recorded The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998, which won five Grammys while Jean and Michel were also successful in their solo endeavors.

The group briefly reunited in 2005 for the single Take It Easy. It has not been confirmed if the new tour will also bring new music.
