A funeral home worker was fired after photographing himself next to the open casket of the late Diego Maradona, according to Mirror Sport.

Argentinian football legend Maradona died Wednesday at the age of 60 from a heart attack.

The worker was supposed to prepare Maradona’s body for the vigil, according to the report. Instead, he would have stopped to pose for a photo with a thumbs up next to the coffin. The English tabloid chose not to release the disturbing photo.

The owner of Sepelios Pinier funeral home in Buenos Aires told local media the employee was fired.

Maradona’s death sparked tributes around the world for the former midfielder who led Argentina to a World Cup victory in 1986. He had recently undergone brain surgery to remove a blood clot but has was released on November 11.
