NHL referees have not had the best of the post-season series and this trend continued in the first half of Thursday night's game between the Boston Bruins and the Columbus Blue Jackets when the referees awarded the Blue Jackets a goal that should not have counted.
Because, as televised broadcasts clearly show, moments before the goal, the puck hit the net behind the goal and the game should have been dismissed.
Instead, the Blue Jackets scored just after the puck returned to the ice to score 2-1, mainly because the Bruins stopped playing because the puck hit the net.
