Again in the 2021 season, there is a question about the availability of JT Daniels ahead of a Saturday contest.
Daniels missed the UAB game with an oblique injury and his status was on hold before the South Carolina game. Earlier this week, Kirby Smart said Daniels suffered a back injury.

On Wednesday, DawgNation reported that Daniels had been limited to training this week due to the injury. Sources tell DawgNation that even if Daniels doesn’t start, he should still be available to play.
“He’s done a good job, he’s lively, watches his whole gang, gets his reps and he’s doing a good job,” Smart said Wednesday. “So we hope he can stay that way.”
On Friday, further questions were raised as to whether or not Daniels will be able to play against No.8 Arkansas. According to McClain Baxley of Banner-Herald of AthensESPN’s Holly Rowe told reporters in Athens it is not known what Daniels’ status is for Saturday.
“Is JT Daniels going to play?” We don’t really know at this point. It’s a game time decision, ”Rowe said.
Next, ESPN’s Chris Fowler provided additional information about Daniels during his appearance on the Paul Finebaum show.
“Offensively, we haven’t seen all the pieces in place yet,” Fowler said. “They are very touched by the receiver. They hope JT Daniels can leave tomorrow.
Fowler later added that this was a pain management issue for Daniels. Broadcaster ESPN said Arkansas and Georgia could play alternate quarterbacks on Saturday as KJ Jefferson suffers a knee injury for the Razorbacks.
Rowe, Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will call the game tomorrow. As usual, broadcasters usually meet with the two coaches as well as some players to preview the game and ask questions.

Against Vanderbilt, Daniels completed 9 of 10 passes for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns. Daniels was taken out after the first quarter, although the score at the time was 35-0.
In the event that Daniels is unable to leave, Stetson Bennett will replace Daniels. Bennett went on to become the Bulldogs’ No.2 quarterback. Against Vanderbilt, Bennett completed 11 of his 15 attempted passes for 151 yards. Bennett hit a touchdown, but he was also intercepted in the game.
