What if you don’t need headphones or a speaker to hear sound? What if it could be transmitted directly to your brain? Wouldn’t that be a neat and useful innovation?

Israeli company Noveto Systems introduces futuristic new audio technology that transmits sound directly to your head, as reported by The independent. The company calls its new product SoundBeamer 1.0 and those who have tested it say the sound is all around you.

The innovation comes in two modes: stereo or spatial 3D. The latter creates 360-degree sound around the listener for a truly immersive experience.

“Most people just say, ‘Wow, I really don’t believe it'” Ayana Wallwater, SoundBeamer Product Manager, said The independent.

“You don’t believe it because it sounds like a speaker, but no one else can hear it… it supports you and you are in the middle of it all. It is happening around you.

A device that follows you

Wallwater also added that there is no need to tell the device where you are. Instead, it follows you wherever you go.

“This is what we dream of,” she added. “A world where we get the sound you want. You don’t need to disturb others, and others are not disturbed by your sound. But you can still interact with them. “

Christophe Ramstein, CEO of Noveto Systems, added that the product gives people more mobility and freedom,

Emphasizing the freedom that the product gives to the user, Ramstein concluded, “You know, I was trying to think about how we compare SoundBeaming with all the other inventions in history. And I think the only one that came to my mind was… the first time I tried the iPod, I was like, “Oh, my God. What is that?’ I think sound radiation is something as disruptive as that. There is something to be said about this that does not exist before. There is the freedom to use it. And it’s really amazing.
