Gabrielle Union took a bold approach to dress up for this year’s Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in Will Rogers State Historic Park in California.

The “Bring It On” actress stepped out in an emerald green shirtdress by Elie Saab. The maxi-length number featured a shirt dress effect, thanks to four front pockets, oversized short sleeves and a pointed collar, all accented with gold buttons. However, her boldest statement was the two thigh slits on either side of the dress, making her instantly bold and ideal for hot LA temperatures. Union let her dress make the boldest statement, pairing it with a simple Laura Lombardi gold necklace and a white and gold Valentino handbag.

As for shoes, the “Breaking In” star wore a pair of big toe sandals from Emme Parson ready for summer. The now-sold-out Thong style featured 0.5 inch heels, as well as thin black leather straps that crossed near her ankles and toes in a minimalist fashion. The pair was complete with a toe loop, one of the biggest sandal trends this year.

Toe curls have been one of the biggest shoe trends this year, especially for sandals during the warmer seasons. The style often includes a round or structured curl for the big toes, which provides fashionable stability and support.
