Gaetz warns Republicans will never win ‘another national election’ again if postal voting persists

The Republican Party will not be able to reclaim the White House as long as universal postal voting remains in place, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., Said Monday on Fox Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight”.

“If we accept this universal mail-in vote for people who haven’t even asked for a vote, I don’t think Republicans will ever win another national election,” Gaetz said. “That’s why we have to fight now.”

Gaetz said some of his fellow Republicans accepted the presidential election results, ignoring the allegations of irregularities and fraud. Fox News called Democrat Joe Biden the winner of the election and the Trump campaign failed to present sufficient evidence of widespread voter fraud to change the result.

TRUMP: DOJ ‘MISSING IN ACTION’ ON ALLEGED ELECTORAL FRAUD

“I reject this entirely,” he said. “President Trump has an obligation to the country, his supporters and the movement he has built to ensure that we count the legal votes and reject the illegal votes.”

The House Judiciary Committee member said it was up to his party to continue pushing the investigation by “encouraging state lawmakers” to do the same and calling on the FBI and the Department of Justice.

“We haven’t seen an active DOJ interested in protecting the civil rights of Americans who want their legal votes not to be diluted by illegal votes,” he said.
