Gal Gadot testified to WarnerMedia’s investigation of ‘Justice League’ misconduct, actor says Variety.
“I know they did a very thorough investigation, even into the time I spent with them,” the “Wonder Woman 1984” star said Thursday in an interview for the Variety and the iHeart podcast “The Big Ticket”.
WarnerMedia said in a Dec. 11 statement that it had concluded its investigation into the set of “Justice League”.
“WarnerMedia’s investigation into the film ‘Justice League’ has been completed and corrective action has been taken,” the statement said.
WarnerMedia has not disclosed its findings or the implications of the “remedy”.
Gadot said he hadn’t been told anything. “I don’t know what that means either,” she said, adding, “I’m curious what the outcome will be.
Variety learned in August that an investigation had been opened after “Justice League” star Ray Fisher went public with allegations that director Joss Whedon and producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg had engaged in misconduct on the tray.
Fisher tweeted a statement he said he received from WarnerMedia upon completion of the investigation. “WarnerMedia appreciates that you have the courage to come forward and help the company create an inclusive and fair work environment for its employees and partners,” the statement read.
Fisher added, “There are still conversations to be had and resolutions to be found.”
He also tweeted about the “corrective measures”, writing “some that we have seen and others that are yet to come”.
In July, Fisher tweeted that he found Whedon’s treatment of cast and crew to be “rude, abusive, unprofessional and totally unacceptable.” He said the former Warner Bros. of Production Berg and former DC Entertainment president and creative director Johns, who were also producers of the film, had allowed the behavior.
Whedon declined to comment on Fisher’s claims. Berg said in July that it was “categorically wrong that we allowed any unprofessional behavior.”
Gadot told the Los Angeles Times that she hadn’t toured with Fisher, but “I had my own experience with [Whedon], which wasn’t the best, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher ranks and they took care of it. But I’m glad Ray comes up and tells his truth.
