Galaxy Fold will not arrive in July, "nothing has progressed"

Well, it was short-lived. After the publication of a report earlier this week, the launch of the Galaxy Fold was scheduled for July, the company apparently confirmed that this would not happen, saying that nothing had been done since the failure of April.

Talk to The Korea Herald, a Samsung official denied the rumors of a Galaxy Fold launch in July. They said, "If we are organizing such a media event this month, we should do something now." More recently, Samsung has informed the media that announcements will be made "in the coming weeks" regarding the recovery of the Fold. .

However, if we believe this latest Samsung manager, "the next few weeks" will be a little longer than expected. Along with the rejection of a launch in July, the manager also said that "nothing has progressed since the April deadline".

What we mean by that is not very clear. Samsung may have made no progress with respect to the launch date or, more worrisome, that it has made no progress in correcting Galaxy Fold's design flaws. A previous report claimed that a slot reinforcement and a non-removable protector were used to strengthen the design.

Moreover, Huawei announced that it was delaying the launch of Huawei Mate X in order to "test" the design further after Samsung's troubles.
