In leaning on seven days of news and headlines around the world of Android, this week's Android circuit includes Galaxy Note 10's design leak, lower batteries in Samsung's phablet , OnePlus preparing the story, several Nokia handsets for America, Huawei is beating Apple in market share, Google Pixel 3a is leaking, and reviewing the popular wireless headphones.
Android Circuit is here to remind you of some of the many things that have happened around Android over the last week (and you can find the weekly summary of Apple news here).
New leaks in the design of the Galaxy Note 10
For many, the next Galaxy Note 10 is a simple polishing of the S10 family. Maybe in previous years, but not in 2019. Samsung is changing the philosophy of design and the word for word for the phablet seems to be "symmetrical". & Nbsp;Gordon Kelly of Forbes reports:
In a pair of tease tweets, [a popular Samsung insider] revealed that the Galaxy Note 10 will be perfectly symmetrical. In the first, he notes Da Vinci [the Galaxy Note 10’s codename] "Is symmetrical" and in the second, it displays the vitruvian man of Da Vinci, emblematic image of perfect proportions. And this has important consequences on the design.
The Galaxy S10 range is particularly recognizable by its asymmetrical perforation design. Therefore, it seems that Samsung is centering it or removing it completely in Note 10, thanks to the company's new New Infinity screen. It would be a wise choice because it would give the range of notes (which is larger than ever this year) a clear visual differentiator.
But note 10 can be slow in one area
It was probably inevitable that such a promising phone – like the Galaxy Note 10 – would have to compromise somewhere, and the latest leaks suggest an area in which performance will be restored: charging the battery. & Nbsp;Gordon Kelly has the details:
… This comes from Samsung's famous insider, Ice Universe, who revealed that the phone may not be recharged faster.
"I'm getting it back, but I can not say more," explained the informant, who claimed his previous statement that the Galaxy Note 10 would feature the all-new 25 W fast charge mode had sent " the wrong message ". It would be a blow because the battery life of the Galaxy Note range has dropped significantly compared to the standard standard it had set, and the charging speed of 18W Samsung is already well below that of his rivals.

OnePlus Rewards The engine of history
Although the launch and presentation of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro handsets are still a week away, OnePlus has been working hard to put in place the scenarios that will undoubtedly fuel discussions around new smartphones. Take the invitation to origami for the launch of May 14:
It is an origami construction that allows two information cards to come out of the central box. Given the expectation of a camera selfie surging on the OnePlus 7 Pro, it sets the stage – let's call it Chekhov's invitation – for the public to "go wild" when it slips into the presentation.
…the benchmarking of the screen:
The OnePlus 7 Pro screen was tested by the highly respected DisplayMate team and, although the full results are released at the time of the device launch, its "outstanding" scores in terms of color gamut and calibration of the temperature, as well as better blue light filtering protect the eyes during prolonged use.
…and examples of shots of new camera equipment:
Historically, OnePlus handsets were designed to deliver exceptional performance at more affordable prices, but with the OnePlus 7 Pro expected to cost significantly more than previous models, it remains to be seen whether these camera enhancements will be sufficient.
As quoted in the report, [Wired’s] Simon Liu does not seem certain:
"I think we have a chance to compete with the top-level phones," he says. "I do not think we can beat them, but the world of imagery is always subjective."
If the story is motivated by leaks, OnePlus is doing its best again to stay ahead of the geekerati.
More Nokia for America
HMD Global maintains the high refresh rate on its handsets, but innovates as much as possible. The Nokia 4.2 is a good example of updating a phone, but also exploring new territories. It was announced this week that the AndroidOne phone will be launched in the US for $ 189. Joe Maring reports:
From the design point of view, the 4.2 looks like many of the other Nokia phones we have seen over the last year. It has a 5.71-inch HD + screen with a resolution of 19: 9 and a very small water-drop notch that houses an 8 MP selfie camera.
The frame of the phone is polycarbonate, while the back is 2.5D glass. This is also where you will find the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and the 13MP + 2MP rear dual cameras.
Huawei beats Apple sharing Smartphone
Although Apple (especially in China) saw its iPhone sales fall in the first quarter of 2019, Samsung and Huawei increased their overall smartphone market share … and Huawei surpassed Apple to reach the second position. & Nbsp;Vlad Savov's reports:
IDC and Strategy Analytics have released their latest smartphone shipping numbers, and the big winner in recent months is Chinese Huawei, at the expense of the world's historic leaders Samsung and Apple, who have both lost ground.
Huawei is flirting with the status of the world's second largest supplier of smartphones for some time, having succeeded Apple for the first time in 2017, before changing back and forth in 2018. The improvement of the in 2019 seems to define it. with firmer control of the second spot: Huawei has grown from 39.3 million phones delivered in the first quarter of 2018 to 59.1 million shipments in the first quarter of 2019, as noted by IDC and SA
Details of Google Pixel 3a Leak
It is now expected to be "purplish", the starting price will be $ 399, and the 5.6-inch version will be complemented by a 6-inch version. The pixels 3a and 3a XL Google have indeed leaked. & Nbsp;Jon Fingas reports:
You can also expect squeeze sensors, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of basic storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie launcher. The battery life could be healthy. Although promotions do not support the use of Snapdragon 670 or 710 chips, these combined with 3,000 mAh (based on 3a) and 3,700 mAh (on the XL) can allow you to get through the day relatively easily. Earlier leaks showed a screen of 2160 x 1080 on the smallest phone and 2220 x 1080 on its largest screen.
And finally…
With the loss of the standard 3.5mm headphone jack, smartphone users are being pushed quickly to the wireless options, which means that a growing number of wireless headphones on the market need to be compared . What differentiates the main contenders? & Nbsp;Samuel Gibbs listening, starting with the Samsung Galaxy Buds:
The Galaxy Buds sound great too, with reasonable sound isolation and a well-balanced sound that most people will love. They are fairly balanced, not too dominated by the bass or treble, with a good separation and a good punch if necessary. The buttons are able to have uncomfortable volume levels when going up and there is a limited EQ available in the Galaxy Wearable app. Audiophiles may have their heads spinning, but they sound good compared to the competition at this price.
