Galaxy Watch 4 Classic leaked photos include first live look at new smartwatch operating system from Samsung and Google

We’re just over a week away from Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event, but new photos of 91mobiles may have revealed our first in-person glimpse of two things we got to see at the show: the rumored Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and the new smartwatch operating system from Samsung and Google.

The two photos of 91mobiles show off black and silver watches with rounded bezels, matching a design seen in the leaked renderings of Android titles and detailed GIFs posted by famous leaker Evan Blass in July. Perhaps more importantly, the photos first show the new smartwatch operating system (currently called Wear) on real devices. But unfortunately, there isn’t much to see – just an initial setup screen and a screen asking the user to set the time.

Google and Samsung have announced that they will essentially merge Wear OS and Tizen with Google I / O in May, promising improvements in battery life, faster app load times, and more. And in May, Samsung gave us an idea of what the new operating system will look like on its devices (and it looks great in what the company showed, if you ask me).

While Samsung’s teases for Unpacked on August 11 strongly hint at new foldables, the company revealed new smartwatches during previous Unpacked events in August, so it’s possible we could see a new smartwatch this week. next. And based on other recent leaks, Samsung could announce another smartwatch too, the Watch Active 4.
