Design and user interface

The Galaxy Watch Active watch looks like a lite version of the Galaxy Watch from last year without the rotating bezel. It has two buttons on the side and a thin aluminum frame available in four metallic finishes: black, silver, pink gold and ocean green with interchangeable rubber bands.

Its footprint is slightly lower than that of previous Galaxy smartwatches with a 40 mm dial. The 28 mm (1.1 inch) permanent screen displays a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. Like the previous Galaxy smart watches, the Active uses Samsung's Tizen-based 4.0 mobile operating system, compatible with Android and IOS devices.

During the hours of presence in the demonstration room, I was able to compare the Galaxy Watch Active to the traditional Galaxy Watch. Although the screen seemed smaller and I missed the rotating bezel, it was much lighter and more comfortable on my screen. wrist. I would definitely prefer to watch it at the regular watch to work. The interface was very similar to that of the Galaxy watch with the same customizable widgets, drag, long press and tapping to control, minus the scrolling option with the bezel, which did not bother me too much. In fact, it was easier to slide on the screen without the metal cover interfering.

The Galaxy Fit is available in black and silver finishes and features an AMOLED color display. The Fit E is smaller and comes in black, white and yellow. Both run a lighter version of Samsung's portable operating system.
