The updated version of WhatsApp would first be made available to Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 users before other Galaxy models received it. Eventually, all Android and iOS users will have the option to delete messages after 90 days or after 24 hours in more than seven days.

WhatsApp users activate the feature of disappearing messages so that sensitive messages are automatically deleted. Adding the 24 hour and 90 day options allows WhatsApp subscribers to select a time frame more suited to how quickly they need a message to go away. It should be noted that WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption so that only the sender and recipient of messages, photos, videos, voicemails, documents and calls know their content.

If you’ve never used the disappear messages feature for seven days before, here’s how it works. Click on a WhatsApp chat that you would like to disappear after seven days. After reading a page explaining how this feature works, you will click “Continue” which will take you to the menu of disappearing messages. Then all you have to do is press the “Activated” option to activate the disappearance of messages for the chat you have selected.
