Disneyland will allow disappointed Star Wars fans who have had difficulty booking a 4-hour slot at Galaxy's Edge to add visitors to their bookings.

Disneyland has started sending emails to Star Wars fans who have not managed to add more than themselves to their Galaxy's Edge bookings.

"We are addressing all of these guests," said Disneyland Vice President Kris Theiler. "We knew how disappointed they were."

Star Wars fans wishing to visit Galaxy's Edge during the initial "soft opening" period of the new theme land came into effect on May 2 and got all the free bookings available to visitors not staying in one of the Disneyland hotels.

All free bookings available on the Disneyland website for visitors who had not booked a room at the Disneyland Hotel, the Disney Grand Californian or the Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel have "sold out" in less two hours.

Disneyland limits visitor visits with Galaxy's Edge to a 4-hour limit during the initial "soft opening" period, from May 31 to June 23.

Registered guests staying in one of the Disneyland Resort hotels during the 24-day period receive a reservation each for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
