"Game of Thrones": Aaron Rodgers makes a brief return in the penultimate episode

The penultimate episode of "Game of Thrones" featured many familiar faces from previous seasons and one from a very different part of television.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made a brief introduction, but fans are divided, whether before the Battle of King's Landing or a man running during the battle.

The NFL star had promoted Lord Rodgers from Greenwater Bay before the season, but his role was a bit more minor.

Fans say they can barely see the Rodgers star among the archers of the Golden Company.

The other fans seemed to spot Rodgers later in the episode, but his character burned faster than the chances of the Green Bay Super Bowl last year.

The few eagle-eyed fans who spotted Rodgers seemed to be Vikings fans with most jokes at his expense.

"Game of Thrones" has already welcomed some celebrities. Ed Sheeran was the Lannister soldier in the first episode of season seven. Since this cameo's reaction, the stars have appeared in much more subtle roles.

Rob McElhenney, star of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", made a quick appearance early in the season. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss also made a brief appearance this season.
