House Of The Dragon production has been halted after someone involved in directing the Game Of Thrones prequel tested positive for Covid-19.
It is understood that UK filming has paused for two days and hopes to resume work on Wednesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The delay is the latest to hit the film industry after work on Bridgerton’s second round also had to be halted again on Monday amid positive coronavirus test results.

A spokesperson for House Of The Dragon told the publication: “As part of rigorous testing for all production employees, a production member from Zone A on House Of The Dragon has tested positive. for COVID-19.
“In accordance with industry guidelines, the production member is isolated and close contacts will need to be quarantined.”
MailOnline has contacted a representative of WarnerMedia for comment.
While it’s unclear where the cast and crew are currently working, previously confirmed locations for production include Leavesden Studios.

The House Of The Dragon crew were also seen filming on Cornwall Beach in April, with film crews seen on Holywell Bay Beach and St Michael’s Mount.
House of the Dragon will take place roughly 300 years before the Game of Thrones series, which ended in 2019, and will feature a star cast including Olivia Cooke.
Get Even star Emily Carey, 18, who will play young Alicent Hightower, and Reckoning star Milly Alcock, 20, who will play young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, are also announced as part of the cast.

Non-binary actor Emma D’Arcy plays the 28-year-old version of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, whose uncle, Prince Daemon Targaryen, is played by Matt Smith.
And Sound of Metal star Olivia Cooke stars as the 27-year-old version of Queen of Westeros Alicent Hightower, whose father Otto Hightower is played by Rhys Ifans.
The show will depict the war of succession between Daenerys Targaryen’s ancestors Rhaenyra and Aegon II, two dragon-wielding heirs to the Iron Throne, in a civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons.
The Dance of the Dragons saw Rhaenyra and her half-brother Aegon II fight for the throne of their father Viserys I in a war that lasted for three years and led to the untold death and misfortune of the Targaryen lineage.
She was declared heir to her father Viserys I, but upon her passing, Aegon II was hastily crowned and she vowed revenge on him, and she was quickly crowned Queen with their father’s stolen crown, leading thus to a power struggle between the two.
Rhaenyra married her uncle Daemon after the death of her first husband Ser Laenor Velaryon, before the Dance of the Dragons, and he helped support his campaign against his half-brother.
Casting began last year and the prequel is slated for release in spring 2022.
Fire Is Coming: The series will describe the war of succession between the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen, Rhaenyra and Aegon II, two heirs to the Iron Throne armed with dragons.
The news comes shortly after it was reported that Bridgerton had again had to delay filming of the second series, following another positive case of COVID-19 on set – causing Netflix “some harm. expensive head ”.
Due to a previous case, filming had only just resumed – but a day after the cast and crew returned to the drama period, things are on ice again.
People like Phoebe Dynevor and Jonathan Bailey have had to stop working while various members of the production go into self-isolation.
“The demand for the second series is huge, so stopping filming again is a real headache,” a source told The Sun. “It could cause appropriate delays and it will be extremely costly for them.”

They added: “Filming will restart once it is deemed safe, but for now it has been suspended indefinitely.”
The series had been filmed at Wrotham Hall in Hertfordshire when news broke of the new covid case.
The show is known for its glamorous ballroom and crowd scenes, as well as the very intimate moments between the characters in love.
With social distancing in place until so-called Freedom Day this week, testing among the cast and crew was required for the close contact sequences.
