Since the finale of the first season of Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen has a major advantage that no other military force in the world could equal: dragons. Her air superiority has made Daenerys almost unbeatable in recent seasons, but she lost one of her dragons during the war against King Night and the White Walkers. That left him only two.
Qyburn, the Hand of the Queen of Cersei Lannister, also developed a weapon capable of destroying dragons, giving Cersei a chance to defend against otherwise unbeatable creatures. The giant crossbow, known as the scorpion, can knock out the dragons – and in episode 4, "The Last of the Starks", Euron Greyjoy and the Iron Fleet manage to use them, mounted on their ships, to kill Rhaegal. , the dragon Jon Snow rode in the Battle of Winterfell. But is it really that? Dragons have changed the game around the world, which raises an additional question: could there be more?
Until the birth of Dany's three dragons, it was common knowledge around the world that the species had disappeared. But there are potentially more dragon eggs in the world left by the Targaryen at various times in history. If Daenerys eggs were previously stones (or appeared to be stones), these could also be potentially viable.
In the books "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin, on which Game of Thrones is based, a number of dragon eggs are mentioned at different times. The Targaryen gave dragon eggs to their young princes, even from an early age, to try to get the dragons attached as soon as possible. But not all these dragon eggs are hatched, and at different times the Targaryens have brought eggs with them to different places, like the Vale – and we do not know what happened to them. The accompanying book "The World of Ice and Fire: The Unprecedented Story of Westeros and the Game of Thrones" evokes the rumor that a Targaryen dragon lay in the crypts of Winterfell nearly two centuries before events, near the hot springs there. So there are at least some dragon eggs supposed to have been lost and scattered throughout Westeros.
The interesting thing is that the return of the dragons had greater effects on the Game of Thrones world than their incredible power and military superiority. In both the books and the show, the return of the dragons also means the return of magic to the world. We saw the same thing in Qarth in Season 2, when Daenerys dealt with the wizards, and there is speculation that the time was ripe for the White Walkers to campaign against the realm of men for centuries without no one heard them because of the revival of the dragons. So, although it is a bit speculative, it seems possible that although Daenerys lost two of his three dragons, they will not necessarily be the last.
