While the original film didn’t make a splash when it first hit theaters, it slowly became a cult favorite and spawned three sequels: the 1989s. The Toxic Avenger Part II, The Toxic Avenger Part III: Toxie’s Last Temptation (which was released in late 1989), and the 2000s Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV. An animated spinoff series called Toxic Crusaders also aired briefly in 1991. Now is the time to reboot the property, and Peter Dinklage will be the one to bring the character to life.
