HBO

At 82 thrilling minutes, The long night (season 8, episode 3) was the longest, the darkest episode of Game of Thrones for the moment. I will keep this title without a spoiler in case you are busy fighting the war last Sunday and miss Winterfell's long-awaited battle. Seriously, using your Bran is the only excuse I can accept for not having been in front of your TV during last week's episode.

If you're late for the Thrones party, there's still time to get acquainted with the action Westeros. And if you want to look forward, the trailer of episode 4 indicates that our heroes will soon … well, even that could be a spoiler. (Yes, take precautions on social media – apparently, episode 4 may have already sunk.)

In either case, you will need a way to watch HBO. Fortunately, there are many simple ways to subscribe, even if you do not have cable, starting with HBO Now and HBO Go. Note that CNET may earn a share of the revenue from the sale of the services presented on this page.

Add HBO to a streaming service

You can add HBO to four of TV streaming services below for a monthly supplement. If you are a fan of GoT and also a subscriber of Sling TV or YouTube TV, then I am sorry to announce that you are not lucky: neither of the services offers HBO. Here are four who do.

Game of Thrones in the UK, Australia and elsewhere

According to HBO, Game of Thrones is broadcast in all but four countries, but not necessarily on HBO itself. In the UK, for example, HBO broadcasts are broadcast Sky Atlantic and Sky's online services, Sky Go and Now TV. In Australia, Game of Thrones is aired on television and online on Foxtel. The show airs simultaneously with the United States (ie early Monday) and is repeated Monday night.

And for the record, HBO limits the use of VPN used to broadcast any of the above services from outside the United States.
