Game Of Thrones Season 8 Premiere: All Parallels With Season 1

The beginning of the end of Game of Thrones has begun. The premiere of Season 8 was filled with reunions between characters who have not seen each other for years – some in almost the entire series. In Winterfell, people gather as the army of the dead heads south, contrasting the long journeys and major evolutions that all these characters have experienced over the past seven seasons.

Throughout the first episode "Winterfell", Game of Thrones creates a contrast by reflecting the moments of the very first episode of the series "Winter is Coming"; the first and the last time, all these people were together in the same place at the same time. The images, music, characters and moments are all used to create direct reminders at the beginning of the story as the end approaches.
