GameStop announces new PS5 and Xbox Series X stock

[ad_1]

GameStop has announced a restocking of PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch, all of which will be released tomorrow. At this time, the release date for this new stock of material has not been disclosed, and it doesn’t look like that will change. In fact, the retailer doesn’t even mention letting customers know, but rather notes that it will simply alert customers via social media when the stock goes live. Not only are details on the release date sparse, but it’s unclear if everything will be released at the same time. If so, be prepared for website issues.

Also, it looks like the stock will be limited to lots. In other words, if you are hoping to buy just the PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or Nintendo Switch and just the hardware, that stock might not be for you.

What is also not disclosed is the amount of stock available. The retailer notes that there will be a “limited number” of each piece of hardware, but that’s what it says every time.

Whatever happens, it is safe to bet that the stock will be gone within minutes. This has not only been the case with every GameStop replenishment, but also with every replenishment at all retailers. Not only is the demand for all of these products extremely high – especially for the PS5 – but scalpers and dealers continue to poach inventory with bots capable of making thousands of orders in minutes. While it looks like the Scalpers’ reign of terror is coming to an end, right now they’re still all over every PS5 and Xbox Series X restock. They shouldn’t be a problem with the Nintendo Switch, but demand is also high for this material, which is why it has been out of stock for weeks.

As noted, salient details are currently lacking ahead of tomorrow’s restocking. If GameStop provides more information, we’ll be sure to update the story. In the meantime, for more coverage on all things gaming, click here.
