Garmin is updating its range of Forerunner GPS racing watches with a brand new line of watches ranging from the Forerunner 45 Basic at $ 199.99 to the Forerunner 945 at $ 599.99, aimed at professional athletes.
The Forerunner 45 (and 45S, which is a smaller version of the 45) have undergone the most significant visual changes in the lineup. They have the same round dial as the most expensive models in the Forerunner range, as well as new tracking features for day-long exercise planning and Garmin's Coach support. Like all Garmin's Forerunner watches, there is a built-in heart rate sensor and built-in GPS.
The 245 (and 245 Music, which is identical to the 245, but with the ability to store locally up to 500 songs) is an updated version of the 235, and offers a newly added support for stress and sleep monitoring. sleep, more sports to follow, and an updated user interface. It also adds a pulse oximeter sensor for even more fitness data.
Finally, there's the new Forerunner 945, the flagship product of the $ 599.99 range. It can store up to 1,000 songs locally (from compatible services such as Spotify or Deezer), and a new tool can analyze workout history to improve future workouts. Garmin promises a range of up to two weeks in smartwatch mode, up to 36 hours in GPS mode and up to 10 hours in GPS mode and music.
Forerunner 45 models will be available later in May. The Forerunner 245, Forerunner 245 Music and Forerunner 945 are now available.
