Gears of War developer The Coalition posted videos showing an Unreal Engine 5 demo and character rendering test.

“Alpha Point” is the studio’s first tech demo entirely created in Unreal Engine 5.

The studio said in May that it was preparing to move into next-gen development using Unreal Engine 5, but had no plans to announce any new games in the near future.

“Switching to a new engine is a big undertaking, so we want to be clear that we won’t be announcing any new projects or titles for some time,” he said.

It recently emerged that the LinkedIn profile of one of The Coalition’s level designers claimed that he had been working on a “new IP address” for six months, although the employee subsequently removed the list from his profile. .

In May, Epic Games unveiled an Unreal Engine 5 tech demo called Valley of the Ancient. It also released Unreal Engine 5 in Early Access, which developers can download from the Epic Games launcher.
