The food giant, General Mills, today announced the voluntary national recall of five-pound bags of its unbleached all-purpose flour with gold medal, whose use is better if it is used before September 6, 2020. The reminder concerns the potential presence of E. Coli O26, Discovered when sampling the product in a five-pound bag.

All other types of Gold Medal flour are not affected by this recall.

This is the second recall of five-pound bags of unbleached Gold Medal flour in eight months. In January, the Minnesota-based company withdrew the product due to the potential presence of salmonella.
