A power outage hit several blocks in midtown Manhattan late in the afternoon on July 13th. Many Broadway theaters suffered a power outage, causing the delay of their Saturday night performances and the total cancellation of others.
According to the New York City Fire Department, the outage extended from Fifth Avenue to the Hudson River, as well as streets from the 1940s to 72nd Street. All Broadway homes are located in this area, though not all of them have lost power.
