Genshin Impact is a pretty amazing game, hands down one of the best games out there. Game development studio Mihoyo is now adding more content to Genshin Impact with the upcoming “All That Glitters” v1.3 update scheduled for February 3, bringing a new character, new events, new boss and a way get a free 4 Star Character as well as many free Primogems.

New 5-Star Character: Xiao (Anemo, Polearm)
This update brings a new 5-star character in the form of Xiao. From the details given, we know that Xiao is an Anemo character wielding a Polearm.
5 Star characters are generally intended to be “premium” characters, and therefore Xiao will also receive his own banner which will increase the chances of pulling the character through the loot boxes.

Free 4 Star Character

Theater Mechanicus – Tower Defense Minigame
As part of the Lantern Rite event, we get a new tower defense mini-game. The trailer suggests that players will be able to create, place, and upgrade different towers with different items and mechanics along a path.
Like tower defense games, hordes of enemies will try to pass through the path. Your objective will be to prevent them from reaching the end of the road. Genshin Impact adds its own twist to that by also letting you enter the field with your own character and help you clear choke points or just pass faster.
Primo Geovishap – New Boss
The Primo Geovishap is a new boss arriving in the world of Genshin Impact. This beast appears to be a massively powerful form of the annoying Hatchlings Geovishap. Adding a twist to the story is the fact that this boss can switch between different elements. More details are expected on the boss mechanics, but it certainly changes things up on how party setups will be changed depending on which boss element you’re tackling. The boss will be unlocked thanks to a fact-finding mission that will also pay Primogems and Mora.
Reinforced ley line overflows
Thanks to the new update, Mora and Experience Ley Lines will get a 2x bonus for the first collection. So you can spend 20 resin and get 2 times the usual output of your first collection. This will be a significant boost for players striving to improve their characters.
Miscellaneous changes
These are some of the less exciting changes. There will be a new tab in the Archive section that will show living beings and their models as well as how many times you have defeated those enemies so far. The player profile screen also sees a small refresh, allowing you to choose up to 4 characters that you can show off to your friends. The Alchemy section will now also allow you to transform crystals from one element to another using the Dust of Azoth. It’s not clear how easy or difficult it is to get this new material, but it could change the way players have to tackle boring bosses. Another event will require you to take photos of certain things using the in-game camera tool to get Primogems and other rewards. There is also a Parametric Transformer gadget obtainable, which will allow you to convert elements from one to another.
