Genshin Impact will release Update 2.2 in less than two weeks, and an upcoming livestream will preview new content soon.
Livestream 2.2 will be a special that will last just under an hour. Here, viewers can find out more about upcoming banners, events, and potentially upcoming new regions on Genshin Impact. There are several major leaks regarding the next update, and the livestream could very well confirm them.
When will Genshin Impact 2.2 be released?
Genshin Impact 2.2 will launch on October 13. On this date, after the usual maintenance hours, Genshin Impact will have new playable content and gacha banners.
As always, the Genshin Impact team are keeping their lips sealed, at least until the live broadcast. So far, the only major thing confirmed is that players will get the free 5-star character, Aloy, if they don’t have it in version 2.1.
Although miHoYo has cracked down on the leaks, there are still plenty of rumors and leaks regarding the next update. Most notably, there are rumors of a new island to explore, meaning players will have new chests to hunt and world quests to complete.
Genshin Impact 2.2 banner leaked
The banner leaks are rather scattered this time around, but many in the Genshin Impact community are now expecting reruns of Hu Tao and Childe. If not these two banners, reruns of Ganyu and Albedo are both still possible.
Regardless, version 2.2 is unlikely to feature a new 5-star character, which means Yae fans will have to wait a bit longer.
Thoma, however, is likely to appear as a new 4-star character under one of the 2.2 banners. The leaks have revealed a lot of Thoma’s gameplay elements, and he will likely perform quite well in the Genshin Impact meta.
The Fixer must be a Pyro polearm character with excellent shield support. Thoma’s sub-DPS can also be quite impressive, with an ability that deals Pyro damage in tandem with the active character’s attacks.
When it comes to weapon banners, players can expect a new 5-star arc that will be Childe’s best option. This bow, Polar Star, is expected to have a base attack of 609 and a CRIT rate bonus of 33.1% at level 90.
Additionally, Polar Star’s ability will likely increase elemental and burst skill damage while allowing its user to improve their ATK with various attacks.
To confirm if any of these leaks and rumors are true, Genshin Impact players can tune into the next livestream.
