Genshin impact Developer miHoYo posted a very special video that is basically just the game’s idol character Barbara speaking about … She offers to hear from the “Traveler”, the game’s protagonist, and leads a one-sided conversation about compliments and the feeling of disgust and generally acting as a vtuber of sorts based on the Hydro-harmonized character from the video game.
Vtubers, or “Virtual YouTubers”, are essentially platforms of animated characters that respond to what is recorded on one side in order to produce the effect of a virtual character who speaks and moves like a real person. There has been a surge in their popularity in English lately thanks in large part to vtubers like Watson Amelia, Gawr Gura, etc. Considering the animation on Barbara in the video, which you can check out above, it really looks like the game model is animated rather than a traditional vtuber platform, which is generally a lot less nimble, but the premise basic is the same.

Genshin impact is currently available, free, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and mobile devices. The video game is also slated for release for the Nintendo Switch. The version 1.2 update “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon” was recently released and added an entirely new area, characters, events and more.
